What is a company key?
A unique code issued by the Ontario Business Registry. You need it to access your business profile and to file changes and annual returns online.
I never received one. Is that normal?
Businesses registered before October 19, 2021 did not receive a key automatically, so many owners request one when they first file online.
How long does it take?
It is immediate when the official email on record matches. If it does not, Ontario mails the key to the registered or head office address, usually within 3 to 5 business days.
